Johnson Clan

July 18, 2008

We finally joined the ranks of "bloggers". After convincing our children they all should have blogs, we've been persuaded to jump on board. We've found it a good way to keep up on the fam, as well as other special people in our lives. So here is a brief review of the Johnson journeys these past few months.

Our most exciting news came in May with a call to the Temple Square mission. We are very excited to begin our service on August 11.

We were able to spend a week at Snowbird the end of May, where Natalie and Justin and Mitch and Cari joined us for a few days. My sister Lorna and her husband Keith spent the rest of the week with us. We also spent part of the time trying to arrange housing for our mission.

June highlight was the annual gramp-a-camp with grandpa and the grandkids. This annual tradition has also included the dads as the group has grown larger each year. The women in the family use this weekend for a get-away shopping and R&R.

July has been filled with more travels. We visited Cody, Wyoming and drove the Chief Joseph highway and over the Beartooth pass. Another trip to Utah to try to secure housing, and this past week we spent in Oregon. We have seen such gorgeous scenery the past few months.

Yeah, I am so excited to see your blog! We thought about you all day yesterday on your first day as missionaries! You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am glad Wayne got to take his balloon ride! We love you both.
